Former Doctor Charged with Assault Charges Involving 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have announced that a ex- doctor now faces charges for carrying out sexual assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were patients.
Details of the Serious Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – some of which involve acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief CPS official stated, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Investigation
The charges follow what investigators described as a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is due to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
