Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched strikes across the region in response for a large-scale and continuing offensive targeting the nation by the US and Israel.

Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone close to the command center of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any destruction is not yet known and the American officials has remained silent.

Airspace Engagements

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house US military bases - said they have shot down missiles in their airspace.

In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry said it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the Middle East.

IRGC Statement

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was striking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the attack on the Islamic Republic carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.

That US-Israeli operation - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck sites associated with the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump urging the Iranian people to revolt against the regime.

Regional Fallout

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the UAE stated that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses dealt with the projectiles with notable success and destroyed a series of missiles," the statement continued.

It said missile fragments fell on a residential area in the capital, causing some material damage and the death of one civilian.

The United States Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
