In the early hours of Saturday, reports emerged of significant blasts shaking Tehran, following claims from Israel that it had conducted a preemptive military action.
Powerful Explosions and Smoke Reported in Central Tehran
As per eyewitness accounts, two powerful explosions were heard in Tehran on Saturday morning. Simultaneously, columns of thick smoke were seen rising over the centre and east of the Iranian capital.
“The type of these blasts suggests that this is a missile attack,” one news agency stated, though it did not initially provide additional information.

Iranian Response
In response to prior accusations, Iranian officials had accused the United States of spreading “big lies” about its defensive capabilities. Officials rejected assertions about missile development and casualty figures as baseless.
