Ukrainian authorities have declared the start of mass production for an innovative locally engineered defensive UAV to reinforce its air defences. The first three producers have started manufacturing, with an additional eleven preparing to establish production lines, Ukrainian military officials stated this past Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Tested in Combat Situations

These UAVs will be based on a nationally created technology known as “Octopus” engineered to neutralize Shahed drones. This technology has been tested in actual battle and proved effective “during nighttime, under jamming and at low altitudes,” the ministry stated. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set an ambitious goal of producing as many as 1,000 defensive drones each day.

Recent Attack on the Capital Characterized as Deliberate
